CHAPTER 13

After I whistled for my horse and we rode back to the rebels, and personally I was amazed at how slow the Overlord’s army was but as I watched and remembered how strict they were on keeping their so-called perfect formations. I understood why they were so slow, if one person was slow then everyone else had to be slow to keep their perfect formation.

As I sat on a cold black leather chair I allowed it to mould to my body and relax a little, as I focused on the other people that were sat around the large wooden table in front of us.

I forget what Coleman had called this room we were in but I didn’t like it. I hated the coldness and soullessness of it with its smooth yellow rock walls and white ceiling. It wasn’t exactly what I expected from a group of Rebels that had lived here for over forty years.

Breathing in the smells of fake perfumes and sweat and body odour and listening to the sounds of the people talk, mutter and moan at each other, I knew straight away these other people sitting with me were true rebels, or at least Rebels that were high ranking.

I made sure I pulled my black leather trench coat tight and made sure my face was well and truly covered by my black hood, then I started to do what I did best.

Study people.

Looking at each of their faces, I guessed all I would have to do to kill each one would be a quick slice of my blades across their throats. It wouldn’t take much and I was glad Coleman wasn’t a mind reader, but these thoughts were necessary considering there’s a traitor here.

My eyes narrowed on each of them and I made sure I studied their faces. I presume the first two mortals I looked at were sisters with their blond perfectly straight hair, I never liked people who tried too hard to look good.

When I turned to the other man at the table my eyes narrowed as much as they could as I noticed the man with his black beard and scars was staring at me. How dare someone stare at me, who does he think he is?

The sounds of their talking and annoying voices stopped as beautiful Commander Coleman with his amazing bright emerald eyes started catching them up on the situation.

I have to give him credit where it’s due, it actually made the story sound gripping filled with slaughter and adventure. Of course the slaughter was all done by me, and with each detail of me ramming my sword into someone, the more concerned looks I got.

Normally I would growl or do something to make these fools scared of me but at that moment all I cared about was looking at Coleman. Admiring his smooth amazing face and trying to catch glimpses of those amazing emerald eyes.

“Coleman this assassin shouldn’t be in here. She’s a murderer, a threat to us, we need to stop her and-”

I raised a warning gloved finger to her.
